Etty Hillesum was a Dutch Jew living in Amsterdam during the Nazi occupation. In 1943 she was killed in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Her diaries and letters are published as, “An Interrupted Life and Letters from Westerbork.” These are quotes from this book, penned 80 years ago. May her story be told.
