Good Friday II

A review of the best from the week

My most played song of the week

“Much may be done in those little shreds and patches of time which every day produces, and which most men throw away.”

Charles Caleb Colton

I danced this week. It is impossible to understand the healing power of dance unless one is a dancer. I became lost on the floor, more than once. Lost in the music and in the dance, just as I wrote about recently in Let Me Be Lost.

The dance floor is a place where the cares of this world and the differences between us can be set aside, in a favored agreement of shared movement and creativity. It is art, exercise, expression, relationships, and metaphors… all wrapped into one easily accessible activity. I am thankful that I found dance, and that dance found me.

A Facebook Memory: November 12, 2012. One of the things I miss about living in Japan!
