THE MOMENT

Is it fall without a bonfire under a bright moon? I think not. We ate steaks on paper plates, sticky s’mores made on sticks, and bundled up under blankets. We talked houses, and covid, dance, and cars, relationships, and life. The kids played hide-and-go-seek in the dark. It was cold outside; our hearts were warmed.
